Project Overview

A homeowner sought to transform their dated, cramped tiled shower into an open, spa-inspired retreat. The original enclosure featured small, worn square tiles with stained grout, a framed glass door, and a bulky built-in bench, resulting in a dark, hard-to-clean space. Marble & Tile Experts delivered a complete transformation, turning this dated bathroom into a modern luxury.

Project Details

1. Complete Demolition & Prep
   • Removed old tile, bench, and door.
   • Inspected and waterproofed substrate with a high-performance membrane system.
2. High-Impact Tile Selection
   • Installed large-format (12″×24″) marble-look porcelain wall panels, minimizing grout lines and creating a seamless, luxurious backdrop.
   • Laid a custom pebble-mosaic floor in varied gray tones, providing a natural, textured surface with built-in slope toward a central square drain.
3. Custom Features & Detailing
   • Rebuilt the shower bench with a slight pitch, finishing it in matching marble-look tile for cohesion.
   • Added three corner shelves cut from the same porcelain, delivering storage without interrupting the elegant veining pattern.
   • Upgraded plumbing trim to a sleek, single-handle mixer and multi-function hand shower in polished chrome.
4. Frameless Enclosure
   • Installed 3/8″ clear glass panels with minimal clamps for unobstructed sightlines, enhancing the sense of space and light.
